Melissa Salgado

Artist name “ Melicha “, I am 28 years old and was born and raised in Southern, California. My primary medium is oil and acrylic paint on canvas. My personal work explores themes of vulnerability, nature and human anatomy. My inspiration derives from childhood memories, the nuances of everyday life, nature and my culture. To express the depth and complexities of emotions, I often use a contrasting warm/cool color palette, as well as opposing imagery and symbols in my work. I have been painting for 10 years and ran an art business from 2020 to 2023.
